Shamble – Two Man Teams. This is an individual event using 100% of your handicap index adjusted for course slope.
Setting the teams: Players will be paired with a partner via a Blind Draw by the committee prior to play and assigning tee times. Players first divided by July 15th GHIN revision handicap into four flights. Players from “A” flight will be paired randomly with a player from “C” flight. Players from “B” flight will be paired randomly with a player from the “D” flight. All “A” and “B” players will play from the Bronze tees. All “C” and “D” players will play from the Gold tees.
Shamble format will be as follows: On each hole both players will hit tee shot and team will select drive that they deem to be best. Then both players must place their second shot within a 1 foot half circle of the chosen ball, no closer to the hole, without improving the "condition" of their lie. If neither ball is playable, team must still chose one shot and play one of their options under "unplayable ball". Both players will then hit subsequent shots with their own ball through rest of play on that hole. The best net score of either player will count as that team’s score for each hole. There is no minimum number of tee shots required for either player. Each player will receive 90 per cent of their regular handicap. Team skins for each hole will be Net skins.
$1,000.00 divided among all flights (Estimated). Highest quota score wins in each flight – Gift Certificate. Multiple places will be paid in each flight.
Payouts for Skins will be GROSS Team Skins within your flight, based on the team score for each hole. BOTH team members must enter to be eligible. Long Drive, Closest to the Pin (2 Par 3's per Flight), and Low Gross by Flight will be determined by the number of entries.
Hole in one pot will be awarded to anyone who has entered the Hole in One contest for this tournament AND gets a hole in one. This event cannot be used for Belfairs
